FellowshipDEC Builder Fellowship
The handbook for a four-week fellowship where young builders learn by making one real thing with AI and feedback. The DEC Builder Fellowship is a small guided program for young builders who want to make something real with AI instead of only learning about it.
You do not need to be a developer, designer, founder, or AI expert. You need curiosity, enough time to show up consistently, and a willingness to finish something small.
This is the knowledge base for the fellowship. Keep it small and practical: when you are unsure what to do next, start here.

Over four weeks, you choose one project and take it from a rough idea to something another person can actually see, use, or react to.
Along the way you practice how to:
- turn a vague idea into a concrete next step
- use AI as a collaborator without outsourcing your thinking
- break larger problems into smaller systems
- build with modern tools
- ask for useful feedback
- test assumptions with real people
- finish and publish work
The goal is not a perfect portfolio piece. The goal is evidence that you can learn, build, ask for help, adapt, and ship.
By the end, you should have one finished project, a clearer understanding of how you work, experience using AI in a real process, and public evidence of what you made.
You may use tools from the Once UI ecosystem, Aveiro, Figma, Frametic, and anything else that helps. The tools are not the curriculum. The project is.
